Introducing The WeatherPlug Now Exclusively at RainmanWeather
Rainmanweather is proud to introduce the WeatherPlug, a very small and energy efficient, yet powerful weather server. The low power usage and high performance device replaces your PC for always-on weather reporting and data logging. Simply plug your weather station console into the USB port and attach the ethernet cable to your router. With the browser based configuration, you are up and running in minutes recording your data and streaming it live to the Internet.
WeatherPlug is now available for immediate purchase exclusively from RainmanWeather.
The WeatherPlug is based on the SheevaPlug Dev Kit which is an early release of the new plug computer architecture. While this is an early release of the hardware, it is fully supported now and through future releases of the device.
The Weatherplug operates with the Meteohub software
providing a complete and fully automated weather server solution. You may purchase the WeatherPlug with the Meteohub demo version (for free upgrade of an existing license) or with the fully licensed version.
The WeatherPlug weather server records weather data from your weather station, evaluates this data, draws user defined weather graphs and uploads via ftp to a web server to create your own web page (see a demonstration here). Furthermore, WeatherPlug can upload weather data to Internet weather networks including CWOP, APRS, Weather Underground, HAMweather/PWS Weather, WeatherBug and more. It can export recorded weather data in WSWIN or WD format to allow for further processing on your PC. WeatherPlug supports a wide range of weather stations and allows to record the data ongoing to transfer the information to the Internet, without having your PC switched on.
Do the environment and your energy bill a favor, let WeatherPlug do the weather server work instead of your power-hungry PC!
